The first ever series of “Artisan Writers’ Nights” will be Saturday, October 10th from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Burlington Artists League Gallery space in the Holly Hill Mall, 309 Huffman Mill Road in Burlington, North Carolina. The October public event is free and will feature a reading and book signing by Alamance County residents Carol Jean Taylor, Christine Wethman and Wayne Drumheller. Ms. Taylor is the author of the Lessons for Life for children and young adults. She is a writer, Sunday School leader and educator. Christine Wethman is the author of the Kaleidoscope of My Mind, From Elvis to the Beatles in writing and color. She is an author, former church administrator and adult coloring artist and illustrator.
The book contains 10 inspirational messages centered around songs that were famous during the 60s and 70s and how these songs relate to what the Bible teaches. Each message is accompanied by a hand-colored design.
Mr. Drumheller is a Burlington based photojournalist, naturalist photographer and writer. He will discuss and sign his book, My Alamance: A Photographer’s Notebook, which features 24 Alamance County photographs along with writing selections by 15 county authors, songwriters, playwrights and poets.
The “Artisan Writers’ Nights” plans to give first time independently published authors, writers and creative artisans a large art gallery venue in which to read, discuss, sign and sell their newly published books.
