A childhood yearning to own a piano and play the piano was the first indicator of my love for music. Music is my source of strength, comfort and peace. I cherish just about every genre of music, however, the tunes of the 60s and 70s rank among my favorites.

I was an avid reader in my childhood. Having lived in Brooklyn, New York, you would find me toting ten to twelve books home from the Public Library on a Saturday morning. There is something invigorating about the sights, sounds and smells of a library. In sixth grade I won a prize in the New York City Fire Prevention Essay Contest. My love for reading had turned into a penchant for writing.

Over the years my writing took a backseat to my career, education, and raising a family. In addition to being a legal secretary, knowledge management specialist, proofreader and transcriptionist, I spent 18 years in church administration. During that time, a desire to study scripture led to the co-development of Bible Studies on Listening and Servant Leadership.

After living in Central Florida for 30 years and raising our daughters, Lisa and Kelly, there I now reside in Mebane, North Carolina with my husband, Joe, and our beagle Stella.  In 2006 I received a B.A. in Organizational Behavior from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. I earned my Master of Science in Positive Organizational Development and Change from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.
